Booking Terms & Conditions (Grindstone Marketing Pty Ltd Trading As Getaway Property Management)


Getaway Property Management hope you enjoy your stay with us on the Mornington Peninsula. Please read the following and make sure you understand all of the terms and conditions when booking a holiday rental through us, an infringement of any of the prescribed terms and conditions may result in the landlord exercising the right to terminate the tenancy without notice, refuse to give out a key for a property, enforce a monetary penalty or amend a rental amount at any time.

The terms and conditions of short term/holiday letting through Getaway Property Management are as follows;

OFFICE HOURS 
Monday – Friday: 9.00am – 5.00pm
Saturday: by appointment

NUMBER OF GUESTS
Unless otherwise previously agreed with the Agent/Property Owner, all holiday accommodation must only be used for private, residential usage only and to accommodate the number of guests stated in the booking agreement. No functions or parties may be conducted at the property under any circumstances. The name that the booking is made under is the person that is held responsible for actions for the group and accountable for each and every individual staying at the property it is their responsibility to ensure that all occupants understand and agree to the terms and conditions.

The property is let for HOLIDAY/ SHORT TERM LETTING and only for the period agreed by all parties and stated on the booking confirmation it applies to the maximum number of guests per bed of the property booked. Exceeding maximum numbers/ allowing additional guests will render the Guest liable to the cancellation of the booking immediately and forfeiture of any rental monies and bond monies.

ARRIVALS 
Check-in for bookings is at 2pm on the confirmed date of arrival, most properties will have a key-safe at the property but in the event that there isn't keys will need to  be collected from the Getaway Property Management office, located at 2361 Point Nepean Rd, Rye VIC 3941, within business hours or as otherwise arranged prior to check-in date.
A $50 fee applies to bookings requiring after hours key collection/drop off which is payable prior to occupancy. For pre-arranged after hours arrival, guests will be provided (by email or SMS) the access code to the properties with keys safes on site.

DEPARTURES 
The property must be vacated by 10am sharp on the date of departure unless prior arranged with the Getaway Property Management team and paid for a late checkout. Keys are to be returned back to the key safe at the property or if collected from the office of Getaway Peninsula Management at 2361 Point Nepean Road, Rye immediately following vacating. Late departures will be charged a fee of the nightly rate and charged to the Guest.

TARIFFS 
All bookings and tariffs are subject to change without notice. All bookings and deposits received are subject to the landlords’ approval and receipt of deposit monies.

PAYMENT
We only accept EFTPOS and credit cards (excluding Amex, American Express and Diners Cards). All Bookings are subject to a $77 non-refundable booking fee for administration.

50% of the full tariff is payable at the time of booking. The remaining balance of the full rental tariff + booking fee is payable 60 days prior to arrival. Keys will not be issued unless all monies and completed Security Bond Pre-Authorisation has been received in cleared funds.

CANCELLATION 
If you cancel a booking for any reason, you must notify Getaway Property Management in writing and the following terms and conditions may apply;
•The full deposit or tariff held will be forfeited unless the landlord is able to re-let the property for the same period at the same or greater rental.
•If the property is re-let an administration fee is incurred and the canceller will forfeit 10% of the gross rental tariff.
•The balance of the funds, less this administration fee will be refunded within 14 days of securing a replacement occupant.
Getaway Property Management may cancel the booking if the premises becomes unavailable for occupancy before or during your stay for any reason (i.e damage to the premises, carrying out emergency repairs, sale of the premises by the owner, the termination of our appointment as Managing Agent for the premises), we will endeavor to find suitable alternative arrangements for your stay. If satisfactory alternative arrangements cannot be made, we will refund monies paid for the whole or part of the booking not fulfilled.

SECURITY BOND 
A Bond Pre-Authorisation form is required to be completed with credit card details and signed by the guest prior to any keys being issued.

In lieu of a credit card we can organise alternative bond payments in the form of Cash or Direct Deposit. The Security Bond Pre-Authorisation authorises Getaway Property Management (GRINDSTONE MARKETING PTY LTD); managing agent, the debit of any additional charges or fees incurred by the Guest in the event of any loss or expense arising as breach of booking agreement to rent the property, damage to and occupancy of the property the nominated credit card without notice or demand post stay. Claims may include but are not limited to any excess rubbish left at the property, damage, breakages, loss or soiled linen, loss of linen, damage to linen, excess cleaning required, un-clean BBQ, failure to check out on time, loss of keys, remotes or for telephone calls, internet use and or any other un-satisfactory items that are evident post inspection.

SMOKING 
Smoking is not permitted inside any of Getaway Property Management properties.
A deduction from the nominated credit card from the Security Bond Pre-Authorisation may be charged should there be evidence of smoking inside or inappropriate disposal of cigarette butts; minimum $200 charge for fumigation, minimum $200 charge for collection of cigarette butts.

PETS 
Pets are not permitted unless otherwise arranged upon booking with a pet friendly property and must be kept outside. A deduction from the nominated credit card from the Security Bond Pre-Authorisation may be charged to fumigate and clean the property should there be evidence of any pets. Minimum $200 Fumigation minimum $100 Faeces collection
At agreed upon Pet Friendly properties the following apply;
•The owner of the dog is liable for any damage caused to the premises or resulting loss suffered by the property owner
•A barking or aggressive dog will not be tolerated under any circumstances and may result in the termination of your booking
•The pet is to be kept outside at all times unless authorisation for internal access by the owner is granted

PARTIES 
No parties or large entertainment groups are permitted at the rental property. If a report is received from a neighbour, the police may be called and this may result in your booking being cancelled immediately without refund of tariff or bond. Getaway Property Management also employee Security who may perform periodic drive-bys past properties.
 
DAMAGE 
The Guest is responsible for any damage, breakages or loss incurred during the period of occupancy. Costs associated with damage, breakages, excess cleaning or loss will be charged to the Guest and deducted from the nominated credit card from the Security Bond Pre-Authorisation together with $50-$150 maintenance fee for Getaway Property Management

INSPECTIONS 
The Agent, Landlord, preferred Tradesperson or any person approved by the landlord may access the property at any time during occupancy upon demand.

KEYS 
The Guest is responsible for all keys and remote controls. A deduction from the nominated credit card from the Security Bond Pre-Authorisation may be charged for lost/damaged keys: $100 per set; $150 per lost/damaged remote control.

LINEN 
Unless otherwise specified, Guests are to supply all bed linen including flat and fitted sheets, pillow cases and doona covers, bath/beach towels and tea-towels. Alternatively, linen and towel hire is available within reasonable notice through our Linen Hire company. Please contact us if you require hire linen.  At the end of the occupancy period all hired or provided linen must be placed in the laundry bag provided and left in the bathroom of the property. The cost for excess laundering, damage or missing linen will be subject to current professional laundering costs and charged accordingly.

CLEANING 
It must be reported to the Getaway Property Management team immediately upon arrival should the property be found unclean. All issues are also to be reported to the Getaway Property Management team within 24 hours of arrival to allow reasonable time to resolve the issue.

It is the Guest’s responsibility to leave the property in the same condition in which it was received. This includes removing any food from the pantry, drinks from the fridge and for the removal of all rubbish and emptying the dishwasher. Excess cleaning may be deducted from the nominated credit card from the Security Bond Pre-Authorisation to the Guest at $50 per hour.

Please note that if your arrival is after hours that it may not be possible to have our tradespeople attend until the next day.

RUBBISH 
The garbage collectors empty bins once per week, recycle bins are emptied every second week. Bins must be placed at the kerb upon departure or the night prior to pick up.  Please refer to documentation at the property for which day collection is or contact our office. If bins are found full upon arrival, it must immediately be reported to the agent at the commencement of your stay.

Rubbish bags left on the nature strip will not be picked up by the garbage collectors; it is the Guests responsibility to remove all excess waste and ensure that bins are left out to be emptied. The local tip is on Truemans Road, Tootgarook. Bins left overflowing with garbage, or any excess rubbish left at the property will incur a fee of $50.00 per bag and will be deducted from security deposit.

PERSONAL POSSESSIONS 
No responsibility will be taken by the landlord or agent for the Guest’s personal property, any personal items left behind will be held at our office and for a period of 30 days, you will be contacted to collect but after this date the items will be disposed of. Items can be posted back at the guest’s expense.

MAINTENANCE
Any and all issues are to be reported to the Getaway Property Management team within 24 hours of arrival at the property to allow reasonable time to resolve the issue. If any maintenance or repairs are deemed urgent by Getaway Property Management the appropriate tradespeople will be organised to attend the property during occupancy.

INFORMATION ABOUT PREMISES
While Getaway Property Management makes every effort to ensure that this information is current and kept up to date, this information may change without notice. The description of the premises is made in good faith and we will accept no responsibility for miss-description. All photos on the website were taken on site and are provided as a guide only. Photographs on the website are an accurate representation of the described property at the time the photograph was taken and are subject to change with fair wear and tear. Neither Getaway Property Management nor the owner of the premises accepts responsibility for personal perceptions. Nor do we take any responsibility for any errors or omissions contained on the website. If any feature/facility is essential for the guest in choosing a particular property, it is advisable that the Guest checks this with the reservation staff at time of booking. Getaway Property Management cannot be held liable for omissions or errors, whether temporary or permanent, in regards to a property’s facilities and services.

All properties under management are privately owned and are rented on a fully self-contained basis. In the event of faults and/or malfunctions of appliances or inclusions, there is no obligation from the owner or Agent to compensate or discount. We will accept no responsibility for any inconvenience with machinery breakdown. In such circumstances, the Agent will undertake their best attempts to repair, replace or hire an alternative in a reasonable amount of time. All properties are non smoking.

INDEMNITY 
The Guests/occupants indemnifies the agent against any liability which may result through loss, injury, being personal or proprietary suffered by any person where any injury, damage or loss has been contributed to or caused by any act or occasion of the Guest or his agent. The agent reserves the right to be sole arbitrators in the event of a dispute.

No responsibility will be taken by Getaway Property Management for any misconception of a property where a booking has been made by email, internet, fax or telephone. We cannot be held liable for any actions of our owners which may result in the tariff being increased prior to occupancy, we have no control over the property being altered by the owner in any way prior to occupancy, we cannot control or be responsible for the property becoming un-available for letting prior to occupancy, we cannot control or be responsible for the property being sold prior to occupancy. In any of these instances we will endeavor to find an alternative property but cannot make any guarantees, nor can we assure you of being able to find a replacement property at short notice.

Getaway Property Management may reserve the right to retain the deposit should the guest cancel the booking, and a replacement booking is not made. Getaway Property Management reserves the right to cancel the booking at any time. Getaway Property Management will not take any responsibility for the loss or theft of your personal property or for any bodily injury that occurs on or at the premises. We recommend all guests purchase travel insurance, Getaway Property Management are not responsible for any injuries, illness or accidents that may occur whilst staying at the property.

 

Getaway Mornington Peninsula

  1. Our reservation system saves your credit card details so that we can automatically process any further payments on your behalf
  2. Getaway Mornington Peninsula (T/as Grindstone Marketing Pty Ltd) reserve the right to further charge the credit card to recover reasonable costs for any of the following caused during your stay; in the event of damage to the property, excessive cleaning charges, removal of excess rubbish, or any other incidental charges that may be incurred as per our Terms and Conditions which shall be deemed to form part of this agreement
  3. A bond claim may entail a charge for the time of our staff or cleaners at a rate of $44 per hour, tradespeople at a rate of $70 - 90 per hour, tip fees for excess rubbish at cost, and any materials used at cost.
